The
arts and crafts fair of the city, in Praça Santos Dumont,
gathers a bit of everything that is produced in the area.
33 artists from all over the world participate in this
fair. They have na association lead by Hecter Eduardo
soares. Leather pieces, clay, ceramics, jewelry with seeds
and seashells, sculptures of bronze, wooden ships, very
colorful paintings and also goid, silver and precious
stones. The arts and crafts and decoration shops are also
a banquet for the eyes, as well as the inventions around
the raw materials which are so basic.
From
the fishermen village of the 50’s came the inspiration
to the development of baskets, ceramics, decora tive tile
productions, carving, decorated doors in noble wood, and
of a multiplicity of objects inspired by the life next te
the sea.
Búzios,
however is a port for people with a special kind of
sensibility. Poeple who come from all over the world with
influences that vary and who can re invent things frem Búzios.
That’s when ceramic gains new forms and colors, the
fabrics, other tones, the design of marine objects brings
the unexpected.

Feirinha de Artesanato da cidade reúne, na Praça Santos
Dumont, um pouco de tudo o que é produzido na região.
Participam da feira 33 artesãos vindos de toda aparte do
mundo, que se reúnem numa associação comandada por
Hector Eduardo Soares. Peças em couro, argila, cerâmica,
bijuterias com contas e sementes, esculturas de bronze,
navios de madeira, pinturas coloridíssimas e jóias de
ouro, prata e pedras. As lojas de artesanato e decoração
também são um banquete para os olhos, tantas as invenções
em torno das matérias-primas bem básicas.
Da
aldeia de pescadores dos anos 50 veio a inspiração para
o desenvolvimento da cestaria, cerâmica; produção de
telhas decorativas, de talhas, deportas trabalhadas em
madeira nobre, e de uma multiplicidade de objetos
inspirados pela vida próxima ao mar.
Búzios,
porém, é porto de gente com um tipo de sensibilidade
especial. Gente que vem de toda parte do mundo, com influências
variadas, e reinventa as coisas de Búzios. E aí, a cerâmica
ganha novas formas e cores; os tecidos, outros tons, o
design dos objetos marinhos traz o inesperado.

wonderful and creative artists make Búzios what it is.
Vilmar Madruga with his/her (se for homem his, mulher,
her) seashells in soft colors, Domingo soto and his Don
Quixote and his boats and fish in copper, the texture of
the scenarios painted by Yvone Boghossian, the ceramic
painted by Paulo Pinto and a lot of other admirable
creators that get along with the peninsula with their happiness
for living.
I
came to Búzios to see the ocean, the color of the light.
Because 1 wanted to paint the beaches, the boats, the
characters of the city,, Tells João Carlos Moura, from
his studio in the Village across from Praia dos Ossos.
Búzios
is above all visual. And this is thanks to the artists who
are the authors of a great deal of the plastic beauty of
the city. From the daring architecture to the painting of
light polis, the sculptures that. decorate the front
porches and lodges, the paintings with the scenario, the
thousand tons of blue, the modern and post modern,
mosaics, glasses, vitrais, doors. There are many elements
and these together make Búzios what it is a present to
the senses.
Ivone
R, after making it as a business woman decided to go back
to her art, creating scuiptures, true characters, with an
educational side to it almost childish stimulated by the
happiness of Búzios. The mermaid across from her studio,
in Armação, gives the tone of her works. The mermaid has
no head. ln its place, there is a water fountain. Each
year, Ivone R prepares something new to exhibit in the
Cinema Festival in Búzios.

| Maravilhosos
e criativos os artistas que fazem Búzios ser o que é.
Vilmar Madruga com suas conchas em tons pastéis, Domingo
Soto com seu Don Quixote e suas caravelas e peixes em
cobre fundido, a textura das paisagens de Yvonne
Boghossian, as cerâmicas pintadas de Paulo Pinto, e
tantos outros admiráveis criadores que conjugam com a península
sua alegria de viver.
“Vim
para Búzios para ver o mar, a cor da
luz.
Porque queria pintar as praias, os barcos,
os personagens da cidade”, conta João Moura, de
seu ateliê no Village, em frente à
Praia dos Ossos.
Búzios,
sobretudo, é visual. E deve-se aos artistas boa parte da
beleza plástica da cidade. Da arquitetura
ousada à pintura dos postes, às esculturas que
enfeitam as fachadas de casas e pousadas, os quadros com
as paisagens, os mil tons de azuis, o jogo moderno, pós-moderno,
os mosaicos, vidros, vitrais, as portas. São muitos os
elementos e todos eles juntos fazem Búzios ser o que é:
um presente aos sentidos.
Ivone
R, depois de ganhar a vida como empresária, resolveu
voltar-se para sua arte: a de criar esculturas,
verdadeiras personagens, com um tom lúdico, quase
infantil, que a alegria de Búzios estimula. A sereia em
frente a seu ateliê, na Armação, dá bem o tom de seus
trabalhos. A sereia não tem cabeça. No lugar dela, jorra
uma fonte de água. A cada ano, Ivone prepara uma novidade
para exibir no Festival de Cinema de Búzios.
